NEW YEAR UPDATE
The Farrington Gurney Parish Journal, Jan/Feb 2023
The New Year represents change and new resolutions. This is by no means different in Parliament as Members of Parliament return to Westminster to continue the year’s work and continue to navigate the current economic challenges.
In addition to the packages of support available from the Government for those on low incomes (to check whether you are available you can find details of what is available online: www.gov.uk/check-benefits-financial-support and
https://helpforhouseholds.campaign.gov.uk/), new grants are also available from Bath and North East Somerset Council to help low income households with energy and living costs.
The grants, funded by the Government’s Household Support Fund, will be available on a first come first served basis, subject to eligibility to those on low incomes with a permanent address in Bath and North East Somerset Council. Full details of eligibility and the online application form can be found online: https://beta.bathnes.gov.uk/household-support-fund
