A year has now passed since the General Election of December 2019 and the Government has continued to work hard to progress important issues including exiting the European Union against the challenge of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Whilst the Government has endeavoured, through its packages of support, to preserve jobs and businesses, unfortunately it is not possible to save them all.  Many constituents have contacted me through the course of the pandemic for assistance for a variety of reasons including access to benefits and health care, but also where they have questions in respect of their employment.  

My office has provided many constituents with details of Acas, a Crown non-departmental public body which provides free impartial employment advice and has been helpful to many, both employees and businesses.  The Acas website contains a lot of information: and specific guidance can also be obtained by contacting Acas via their helpline: 0300 123 1100.
