THE NATIONAL LOTTERY COMMUNITY FUND

The Farrington Gurney Parish Magazine, May/June 2021

Recently I was contacted by the National Lottery Community Fund in respect of the funding available to local community groups. After the Government, the Community Fund is the largest funder of Covid related activity since the beginning of the pandemic.

The National Lottery Community Fund is focused on helping local groups, many of them small, grassroots organisations with 80% of the grants awarded being for under £10,000. Their scale and reach mean that funding has been provided in every constituency, every local authority and 90% of all wards in the UK.

The National Lottery Community Fund offers different funding programmes including its Awards For All programme which is open to applications for smaller amounts of funding between £300 and £10,000 for up to one year, and the Reaching Communities England programme, which offers larger amounts of funding of over £10,000 for up to five years. I would encourage any local community group seeking funding to either visit: www.tnlcommunityfund.org.uk for information or to telephone the advice line: 028 9568 0143.
