ENERGY PRICES

The Farrington Gurney Parish Magazine, Nov/Dec 2021

With Winter now upon us and Christmas approaching, the Government continues to take steps to protect customers impacted by rises in global gas prices, supporting vulnerable and low-income households with their energy bills.

In order to ensure that consumers are protected the Energy Price Cap will remain in place, saving 15 million households up to £100 per year; alongside the Winter Home Discount, which will give low-income families and pensioners a £140 discount on their energy bill this winter; and Winter Fuel payments, which provide older people with up to £300 to help with their heating bills.  More information can be found online: www.gov.uk/government/news/rising-gas-prices-protection-for-consumers.
